How do I start receiving daily verses?
Download the Godsend app, enter your phone number and preferences, then subscribe to start your daily verses.
Once subscribed, text Godsend to begin. You'll receive your personalized verse and reflection at your chosen time each day via iMessage or SMS.
How do I pause or stop messages?
Text STOP to Godsend at any time to stop receiving texts and daily verses. You can also turn off daily verses in the app under Settings → Messaging.
To resume, simply text Godsend again with an active subscription.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your iPhone Settings. Go to Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions, find Godsend, and tap to view, change, or cancel.
Why am I not receiving messages?
Make sure you have an active subscription and that you've sent Godsend a message first. Godsend can't text you until you start the conversation.
Also check that messages are enabled in the app settings and that your phone number is correct. If using iMessage, make sure iMessage is enabled on your device. Contact us if issues persist.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account and all data in the app: Settings → Profile → Delete Account. Or email us at support@trygodsend.com.
Who is Godsend?
Godsend is your AI faith companion. It selects personalized Bible verses and generates reflections based on your preferences and current life circumstances.
You can text Godsend anytime with questions about scripture, faith, relationships, or anything on your mind.
What's the difference between iMessage and SMS?
iMessage gives you unlimited texts with Godsend and a smoother chat experience. SMS is limited to 20 messages per week and is only available in select regions.
We recommend iMessage for the best experience. You can switch in the app under Settings → Messaging.
Which Bible translations are available?
Godsend supports multiple Bible translations including NIV, ESV, KJV, NKJV, and NLT. You can select your preferred translation in the app settings.
Is Godsend a replacement for church?
No. Godsend is designed to complement your faith journey, not replace community worship or pastoral care. We encourage all users to stay connected with their local faith communities.
